ProLon® Longevity Almond & Cocoa Spread Stuffed Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 1 egg

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- Prolon Longevity Almond and Cocoa Spread

- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

 

Instructions:

Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and forming a dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Form Cookie Dough Balls: Once chilled, take tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball in your palm and place a small teaspoon of Prolon Longevity Almond and Cocoa Spread in the center.

Seal and Shape: Fold the edges of the dough around the spread, sealing it completely, and reshape the dough into a ball.

Bake: Place the stuffed cookie dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.

Cool and Dust (Optional): Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar if desired for a festive touch.
